The short version
WorkHoursTools' calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type into a calculator — clock-in times, hourly rates, break minutes — are never sent to our servers. They exist only on your device and disappear when you close or refresh the page.
Information we do not collect
We do not require an account, a login, or an email address to use any calculator. We do not store your calculator inputs or results anywhere, and we do not sell or share personal data, because we do not collect it in the first place.
Standard hosting logs
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information for security and reliability purposes — things like IP address, browser type, and the page requested. This is standard server log data, is not used to identify individual visitors, and is not cross-referenced with anything you enter into a calculator.
Cookies and analytics
WorkHoursTools does not currently set tracking or advertising cookies. If we add privacy-respecting analytics (to understand which calculators are useful, for example) or advertising in the future, this policy will be updated first, and any such service will be chosen and configured to collect the minimum data necessary — such as anonymized, aggregate usage statistics rather than data tied to your identity.

Pages on this site may link to other websites (for example, a source cited in an article). We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of external sites — check their own privacy policy before sharing information with them.
Children's privacy
WorkHoursTools is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it. Material changes — such as adding analytics or advertising — will be reflected here before they take effect.
