Not legal, tax, or payroll advice

WorkHoursTools' calculators perform arithmetic — turning clock times, break minutes, and hourly rates into a result. They do not interpret labor law, tax code, or your employer's policies, and nothing on this site is legal, tax, accounting, or payroll advice. Overtime eligibility, break requirements, and rounding rules vary by jurisdiction, industry, and employer, and can change over time.

If a calculation affects actual pay, compliance, or a legal question, verify it with your employer, payroll provider, or a qualified professional before relying on it.

Accuracy

Each calculator's underlying math is tested against known examples, and formulas are shown alongside results so they can be checked by hand. Even so, the tools are provided without warranty of any kind — see the Terms of Service for the full terms. Always sanity-check a result before using it for something that matters.

Not a substitute for your official records

A calculator result is only as good as what's typed into it. It doesn't replace your employer's official timekeeping system, pay stub, or payroll provider's records, and it isn't evidence of hours actually worked.

External links

Some pages link to outside sources — for example, government labor guidance cited for context. Those sites are outside our control, and linking to them isn't an endorsement of everything they say. Check the source directly for anything time-sensitive or jurisdiction-specific.

Advertising

WorkHoursTools does not currently run ads. If that changes, this page and the Privacy Policy will be updated first, and any ads would be clearly distinguishable from calculator content and site navigation.
